Slide 4 - Saudi Arabia This kind of traditional dance is well-known in “Najd” in the middle region of Saudi Arabia which is called “Alarda”.In this picture we see a group of men standing beside each other holding swords and dressed in Saudi uniform. Men dance such a dance during celebrations like weddings.

Slide 6 - Germany In the picture you see Germans dancing in traditional clothes. It is called “Bavarian Dance” and it is danced during the Maypole celebration. This dance is danced mostly in the area of Munich.

Slide 15 - Korean Dance. This is a Korean traditional dance “Tal Chum”. It is played with traditional instruments and there is always a story behind it. The dancers/actors often communicate with the audience when they act. This play makes fun of the high-ranking class. Actors/dancers wear masques and traditional costumes.

Slide 19 - Japanese Dance. “Nihon Buyo” is one of the traditional dances in Japan. It is performed in Kabuki which is a traditional stage drama. A dancer wears a kimono – Japanese traditional clothing. The dance is accompanied with “Shamisen” – a Japanese lute.

Slide 21 - Peruvian Dance The “Diablada” is a dance that it is performed every February for the feast of the “Virgin of the Candelaria” in the city of Puno. The "Diablada" represents the fight between good and evil. At the end of the dance, the angels beat the army of demons. The clothes that the dancers wear have golden embroidering and can weight up to 30 kg (66Lbs).

Slide 24 - Albanian Dance The traditional Albanian dance is called “valle”. It is danced in groups and everyone holds hands and follows calculated steps. This dance is common in engagements, weddings or other celebrations such as New Year. Albanians love to dance throughout the year.
