Slide 4 - (c) 2005-06 Dr. David Gadish The Open Self The open self means all the information, behaviors, attitudes, feelings, desires, motivations, and ideas that we and others know about us. If we do not allow others to know us, we keep the open self small, making communication between them and us more difficult.
Slide 5 - (c) 2005-06 Dr. David Gadish The Hidden Self The hidden self consists of all you know of yourself and of others but that you keep to yourself. This area includes all the successfully kept secrets about yourself and others.
Slide 6 - (c) 2005-06 Dr. David Gadish The Blind Self The blind self represents all the things others know about us, but which we ourselves do not know. As we open ourselves up to other people and accept their feedback, we move information from our blind selves to our open selves.
