Slide 2 - WORLD YOGA DAY: INTRODUCTION International Day of Yoga 2020 is on Sunday, 1st June. This year the world would be celebrating the sixth International Day of Yoga. International day of yoga is also known as the world yoga day. United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as the International Yoga Day on 11th of December, 2014. Yoga in is believed to be more than 5,000 year old wholesome mental, physical and spiritual practice. Yoga originated in India and is an integral part of Indian society. As a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts, United Nations General Assembly decided to celebrate 21st June as International Yoga Day.
