Slide 0 - What is Dehumidifier A dehumidifier is an electrical appliance which reduces & maintain the level of moisture of humidity in the air, usually for health & comfort reasons, or to eliminate musty odor and to prevent the growth of mildew by extracting water from the air. It can be used for household, commercial & industries applications.
Slide 1 - Types of Dehumidifier Water damage technicians use two types of dehumidifiers:- Refrigerant (Portable) and desiccant. Refrigerant dehumidifier are efficient enough to lower the relative humidity in a structure to approximately 55-60 gpp.(Gains per pound) This type of the dehumidifier are most common type of dehumidifier, it work behalf on air over a refrigerated evaporator with a fan. The cold evaporator coil of refrigeration device condenses the water, which is removed & then the air is reheated by the condenser coil.
Slide 2 - Types of Dehumidifier Desiccant dehumidifier can lower relative humidity to a much lower point, Also known as desiccant dehumidifiers, they consist of hydrophilic materials, such as silica gel. Many residential units contain single-use desiccant-type cartridges, gel, and powder.
Slide 3 - How Desiccant Dehumidifier Work
Slide 4 - Why required Dehumidifier An Important Application of these DFRS is in the Pharmaceutical industry where all Tablets / Capsules and other Medicines are manufactured under controlled Conditions of Temperature and Humidity. Moisture Levels are controlled in the Manufacturing / Packing and Storage areas to maintain the Quality and performance Parameters of the Medicines. Uncontrolled humidity and the presence of moisture often give rise to difficult-to-manage problems when working with pharmaceutical and medical products. Many pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and similar products consist of hygroscopic materials such as powders, granulates, capsules and tablets. Typical problems When such materials come in contact with any moisture present in the surrounding air, a wide range of different problems can arise: • Powders clump together and cause blockages in pneumatic transport systems • Weight and volume are affected • Greater risk of bacterial growth • The performance of active substances can be affected • Colour and other product characteristics can be affected • Reduced product and coating quality • Reduced product shelf life • Reduced productivity due to inefficiency and downtime • Problems with packaging processes
