Slide 2 - What is Safer Internet Day (SID) ? Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world.
Slide 3 - Safer Internet Day 2014 will be celebrated on 11 February 2014. The strapline for the campaign is “Let’s create a better internet together”.
Slide 4 - The day offers the opportunity to focus on both the creative things that children and young people are doing online, as well as the role and responsibility that all stakeholders have in helping to create a better internet.  Why Safer Internet Day
Slide 5 - In Ireland Safer Internet Day is promoted by the PDST Technology in Education and Webwise.ie. It is also strongly supported by the Safer Internet Ireland Project.
